Did you know that...

• More then 100 species of plants and animals die each weak from the forest destruction.
• If people keep on destroying the rain forests faster then they are now, the  rain forests will be gone in 100 years.
• Logging businesses use a method called clear cutting where they cut down trees then, take a nice part then sell them then, clear of the cut down trees so no one knows.
• Once the ground is bare from clear cutting it takes 50 years for the trees to grow back.
• Most rain forests life is mostly found  about 40m (120 feet) above the ground in the canopy.
• There are over 3,000 species of fruit in the rain forest.
• 2/3 of the earths fresh water is recycled in the amazon.
• In the Malaysian rainforest there are over 750 species of trees in 1kilometer.
