Christmas Break story, Gami

This video will tell you about what I will/ want to do over this Christmas break. It will also tell you what I will do and why I want to do that. But, we had a challenge for this video because we had to do it in 30 seconds, but it was really fun. So, enjoy my Gami that is spoken in Chinese. But before you listen to this video you have to know Chinese. Lastly, I made up this story, so that means I will be here all Christmas break. Enjoy!

Christalite Methodist Home

Today we went to the Christalite Methodist Home. The people there are so nice and not what you expect when you first arrive. I expected that most of them will speak Chinese and I wouldn't know what they were saying, turns out most of them spoke English. But now I will tell you about how people acted with me, my feelings and what I enjoyed.

How people acted with me was they were really nice, friendly and not bossy or ignoring me. One person that was the nicest to me was a guy, and at first I just saw him smiling on the couch and watching everyone work. So then I went up to him and said " hi, how are you? Would you like to decorate a Santa hat?" But he was really nice and said that he trusted me to make a pretty design for him because I was a pretty girl. So that guy there was really nice and appreciated my work a lot. So, that really cheered me up and made me realize that not everyone here is bad, they are all so friendly and glad we came. 

My feelings were really happy that we could make Santa hats with the people at the Christalite Methodist Home. Also I feel glad that we came because when you do good things for others it makes you eel good about your self and that you might have made some ones day. I am glad that I felt that because not only it made me happy, but it could have made someone else happy. So those were my feelings when we went to the Christlaite Methodist home.

What I enjoyed was seeing other people smile while making crafts and also seeing a lot of people wanting to make crafts. It was really fun making these Santa hats it made everyone there making hats happy. But what I also enjoyed was seeing people also enjoying there time there and decorating Santa hats with people from the Christlike Methodist home. I bet that everyone in our class enjoyed are time at the Christalite Methodist home.

I am so happy and grateful that our class could go over to the Christalite Methodist Home and have that amazing experience that they could remember. But once you get there you realize that there is nothing to worry about and that they are pretty much just like us. I hope everyone had a great time, which they did. Lastly there are some pictures here of the Christalite Methodist Home. So enjoy!

P.E Push ups Reflection

My strengths are:

• Keeping my legs straight.
• Bringing my elbows close to a 90˚ angle.
• As well as keeping my head down so it wont make my body drown so much.

Areas of improvement can be:

• Lifting up my body more.
• Move more of my elbows to go down straight.
• Bring my arms down more.
• As well as having my hands go straight forward instead of having them facing a bit sideways to help me with bring down my arms more.

Wonder by R.J. Palacio Message

 In the book Wonder I think the message of this book is that don't judge people by the way they look, you have to know their personality. I say that everybody agrees with that because once I saw a girl and was like there is no way I will be friends with her, and guess what we were then friends. So I say that, that is one of the messages in the story.

I think that one of the messages is don't judge people by the way they look because just because they don't look pretty or looks like the popular girl. I say that because if they don't look so pretty kind of like August, that doesn't mean you can't be friends with them. You only know if you want to be friends with them or not if you know their personality. So once you know their personality of being nice and fair, who cares about what they look like. It's down to you. Like once I knew a girl that looked like she was a popular girl turns out she was kind of geeky and really nice, so I became friends with her. So don't judge people by how they look.

So now you know one of the messages in the book Wonder. I hope now that you wont judge people by how they look because this is also a real message that you can use in your days. So if there is someone you think that will never be your friend, hang out with them and see if there is something different in her personality than how she looks. I bet you that you might be friends.

Reason:  Among The Hidden is the best book EVER! First of all the genre is Mystery. The level is in the Fluent level T. I recommend this book because first it is about this boy called Luke who is a third child. But the problem is, in their setting of time they weren’t allowed to have a third child. But one day Luke counted that everyone was gone in the neighborhood because each day he counts how many people have left so he has something to do. But on that day he saw a flicker of light in one house and… I can’t tell you. So if you love Mystery’s and need to find Mystery book, I recommend this book!

Why Everybody Should Have A Dog As A Pet!

This is my Persuasive Writing of why everybody is able to have a dog as a pet. But I want you to read this and say I could get a dog no matter what. Except if anyone is allergic to dogs in your family. I also want you to know that dogs will always be your best friend no matter what. Now I want to persuade you to get a dog, so start reading! Things that I did well at was:

UN Day Video!

This Is My Typing Progress

My Science Center Field Trip!

Today I went to the Science Center! I will be telling you what I saw, which was Mrs. Calyton getting  into a metal cage with a lot of bolts hitting the cage. Also what I learned at the Science Center, as well as telling you what my favorite part was. First I will tell you why we went to the Science Center, it was because we got to make candy! But it wasn't just for fun, it was for our mixtures and solutions unit in science.

What I saw at the Science Center, was Mrs. Clayton getting into a small little cage with a lot of bolts hitting the cage that she was in. Mrs.Clayton went in there, because the Science Center was doing an electricity show which looked like lightning. But there were mainly just showing science, but when they asked for volunteers Mrs.Clayton raised her hand. Once Mrs.Clayton had gone in the metal cage they told everyone to plug their ears a bit with their hands, then a bunch of electricity went to go hit Mrs.Clayton's cage. Everyone in our class that was there had fun watching Mrs.Clayton in the cage that was getting struck with electricity.

What I learned was how to make lollipops by hand, which is science if you don't know. It is simpler than you think. Before making the candy, we got to learn where a few products with sugar came from, as well as, with some of them we got to learn how it got produced. For example honey, honey came from nectar in flowers that bees ate. Then when the bees got back to their hive, they threw up the nectar in the body which turned into honey. So, the lady there said that we are pretty much eating bees vomit. EEWWW! But when we learned how to make lollipops it was ver fun, but we learned how much sugar was in there, 3 CUPS! Thats a lot of sugar!

My favorite part at the Science Center was when we got to make cotton candy, with a cotton candy machine. The worst part to me was when we added more colored sugar into the cotton candy machine, so then when we turned it on sugar was flying every where. So when it hit our neck, it really hurt! But it was fun to twist the stick around and eat a lot of cotton candy!

So that was my AMAZING day at the Science center. There are many, many other fun things that I did with my friends Alexa and Meaghan. But those were almost all that I did at the Science Center. it was a fun, Awesome day!

Is That a Stuffed Animal?

This story is about when I got my very first pet dog! It will tell you how magical it felt when I have been begging for years to get just 1 dog.  It is always an amazing journey to finally have your very first anything that you wanted for years, also like going on a ride. Why do We Deserve a Day Off School

I deserve a day of from school because, first everyday in the school week we wake up at 6:00 am everyday which makes us really tired. Second of all we deserve a day of school because we spend 7 hours at school on  week day, so during a week we spend more time at school than with our parents. Not including the weekend. Also because sometimes we need a brain break because we only have precisely 1hour of on a school day. So we learn precisely 6 or more hours a day, including SACAC, EASA, and maybe some extra thing at home. Another reason is we sometimes just need to sit down from running around a lot, from recess going and going around the classroom fast sometimes. Also because we pretty much, well we do get homework everyday which makes us even more exhausted. But even though we do get holidays we still work really hard everyday and we want just, just a day off.

Friday Prompt

Hi I am Amber's parent/mom. When Amber was just a little girl she put the smile on everyones faces with hers. Amber could cheer us up everyday because Amber has this special spark to her. Amber is a very smart girl and intelligent, but still is now. Amber is also the funniest little girl I know (as well as her friends.) When Amber was about four Amber was already a comedian, even though she was just a little girl. Amber is also very protective, if one person says something mean to another Amber will just go and cheer that person that got hurt.

Amber pays a lot of attention to her work and doesn't want to forget something. Amber doesn't like it when she forgot a piece of homework at school. Amber can also be sensitive sometime when she forgets homework at school. Amber always likes to teach us new things and trick us with a problem in a subject. Amber also likes math and loves to learn new things everyday.

If you want to just have a laugh or cheer up you should go to Amber. Amber is absolutely hilarious if I had to do a scale of 1 to ten Amber will be 100. Amber gives us a smile everyday and loves to make us crack up laughing till we are about to hit the floor. Even sometimes Amber cracks up laughing when she says the joke. We believe that when Amber is older she is going to be a stand up comedian. That's how funny she is!

Amber also  has a very protective to everybody. Amber while try to stop a disagreement and after a small argument he will just say "so whats for lunch?" and then once she said that she will add a little laugh. Amber also doesn't like it when her friends are mad at her so sometimes she just tries to make it better by making them laugh. Also when Amber says she is a foodie like her dad she will say something that we both have in common or come and give me a hug.

When Amber came into the world she was the most quiet, smiley, happy, and laughing little girl. Amber is a very special little girl. I am so lucky to have Amber as my child. We love Amber.

Book Recomendation

 Eight Keys by Suzanne LaFleur

To me the book Eight Keys is a good book to recommend. Because the book has things you can relate to like friendship problems, bullying and people that mean to you have died :(. Also because if you like mystery you would like this, because she has a barn and there are eight doors locked upstairs in the barn and then she unlocks them, But I won't tell you whats inside the rooms obviously. But it is also a Realistic- Fiction if people like Realistic- Fiction like me this would be good for you because it feels like it is a true story ( sometimes.) Also their are some details when its a really good part that makes you want to Jump Out of Your Skin and give you goosebumps. Lastly this book is like it's real life you feel like you are in the main characters shoes (mainly the main character) and doing everything that they are doing, then you get goosebumps from being them. If you like to jump out of your skin, or like mystery books and Realistic-Fiction books, and like two genres mixed together and go like "oooh!" then this is the book for you. Also this is my favorite book! You will Love It.

Who Would be a Good Best Friend for Me?

To me a good friend will be someone who understands friendship problems and who is funny. To me Elise from the book Eight Keys would be a good friend to me because in the book she has friendship problems then she says nothing when people bully her, and then she stands up to herself like me (most of the time.) Also most of the time she acts like a kid like me but only a few times she acts like ' I'm grown up now and don't do kiddy stuff anymore like little kids' which I am sometimes okay with. Another reason is that she is a kind person, she never wants to hurt anyone, but sometimes she makes a mistake. I think if we were friends maybe we would hang out quite a bit. Also I think that we won't lie or hide some things that she wants to say, we might just say it to each other.

My First Two Weeks at School

So far these two weeks of school have been so much fun. On the first week of school we had our first science lab class, our teacher is really quite funny.Also before we left he made some of us get on the table and dance to a song. Also during the first week of school, we did rock star picture with wigs,jewelry and props, it was so fun. Then we had to bring in a baby picture of us and we had to guess who was who, ( everyone knew me because I was last.) During the second week of school we made bio poems of us and people had to guess who it was ( no one guessed my for my poem:).) Then today we went to a water park and it was so much fun with all the slides and lazy river, also the wave pool. But now I'm really tired.
