Purpose	The purpose was to speak about the Dominican and friar who believed the native Americans were mistreated by the Spainards.	The purpose shows the perspective of Christopher Columbus's expedition to the Americas and finding Native Americans.
View of Native Americans	They felt they were being mistreated and used by the Spainards.	Christopher Columbus said how the Native Americans are very attractive and nicely built, and they are kind, giving and gentle. As well as how they seemed easy to convert to Christianity because lack of leadership and religion. But, at the same time they were ignorant and easily referred to as chickens because of how scared they are.

Encomienda is a plantation/farm for people who are slaves or forced labors.

Reliability

Reliability is trustworthy, something based off of true evidence, honesty, the truth that is able to be used.
Biased is when something is in favour towards a certain side of something.  Or biased against something.
Background Knowledge is the information need to know behind a situation
An Inference is an educated guess or thought based on your observations and facts.
Sources and Conflicts shows the issue between two sides on background information.

This picture represents several aspects of studying history. When you first look at this image you get the bias of how kids these days aren't as athletic as parents were when they were younger. But this is unreliable because you don't know how much exercise the kids do during the day and what exercise their parents did when they were younger. As well as everyone did a different amount of exercise that would be relatively different to the kids. It also makes you think that from technology advancement, not as many kids are getting outside and exercising rather than staying and watching TV. As it says when the dad on the couch says "I had to walk to the TV to change the channel" it makes you think that nowadays with remote controls to change the TV channel we don't get up more often. To get a better understanding of this picture you need background knowledge of how much exercise the parents used to do versus the amount of exercise kids do know to get the right perspective/argument. But, based on what the image shows you would infer that kids these days get less exercise.

MY PE GOAL FOR 8th GRADE

1. Here’s what I know about myself as a mover.(answer these on your own then share them with a partner of your choosing)

• I really like to dance

• I think I am kinda/pretty awesome at badminton, ultimate frisbee

• I find the most challenging sport or activity for me in PE is swimming, softball, basketball, track, flag football.

• I prefer team sports to individual activities

• This year in PE I would really like to achieve a better mile time.

MY GOAL

“My goal is to improve my amount of push ups by 3 in under two months by doing more arm exercises to improve my arm strength.

Social Studies Perspectives

What makes me unique? My journey started on the 8th of December in 2002. My full name is Amber Francoise Heaney, and I am apart of a family of four which includes my Mom, Dad, and older sister. Throughout the thirteen years of my life I have only ever lived in Asia and have never visited America. I am British and found my homes in Singapore and Tokyo. As you could imagine I am a major curry and spice lover from all different cultures. However, I don't like seafood. I love traveling to see all the different charms and beauties in our world, and to experience many different cultures.

One thing about me is that I have always enjoyed dancing. When I was a very little kid I started off with the simple little kids ballet, but as I got older I found the love for hip hop. I Started hip hop classes for a few years until school got in the way. But, I always do the school dance club and soon going to restart dance classes.

Those are just the little starters to what makes me unique.
