Big Mysteries:
1. Where are they? What island are they on?

• Answered- Possibly plane through an air pocket and dropped, once out continued falling

Little Mysteries:
1. Who are the people? Who is the first guy we see when the episode starts?

• Answered-  The first guy is a doctor, his name is Jack. Other characters include Charlie, Sayid, Kate, Hugo, Boone, Claire, etc.               

2. Where are the other parts of the plane?

• The parts are scattered across the island. They found the cockpit up north

3. Why hasn't anybody gone to find the people stranded on the island? Do they know the plane has crashed?
4. What will happen to Claire's baby?

Unbreakable Traditions

My feet slide towards the smell of the soft, juicy turkey being pulled fresh from the oven, the small boiled potatoes smothered in a buttery and salty goodness, the stuffing that is layered on top with a golden crust. My family and I bring out our plates of Christmas goodness to the sleek, black dining table that is only touched twice a year: for Christmas and New Year's Day. We all sit in the same places we have sat for my whole life. With Yasmin across from me still in her pajamas with my Dad to her right, continuously going through is new presents. Lastly, my mom sat to my left as relief gradually fills her face as she knows she is done with the most stress of the day. My mom gradually lifts two Christmas crackers to each member of our family. Once the popping sounds of all the crackers have faded, each of us slide on the colorful paper crowns from inside the crackers onto our heads. I struggle to keep one on my head as I keep accidentally ripping the crown. My family and I all look at one another and start bursting out with laughter. Each year we attempt to put on the silly hats, attempt to finally get the whoopie cushion cracker(which has never succeeded), and starve to devour ourselves into our family dish. Usually, on a regular day we don’t even eat as a family. Besides holidays, we don’t even eat at a dinner table. I can’t remember the last time we could just sit all together and laugh about all the little things. There is always stress of work that blocks off my family from the joy we can spread. Or continuous arguments that are out of reach for me to grab hold of. Sometimes we are just so separated.

As our laughing voices flicker the candles with joy. I remember that I miss being able to easily sit with my family. Experiencing a whole load of love and tradition. A time where there is no arguing and fighting. Where nothing else is important besides the love knot that is binding my family together on that day.  But, all I can do is hope to spread my compassion and love towards my family more.

Ever since young, all I could focus on was focusing on the love of my family and being the peacemaker. Growing up in my family style has taught me a lot of the importance that comes to wanting to be united and fulfilled. It takes a lot of compromising and understanding each other. Sadly though, it can be a one person job. All the emotions that are being jumbled at you can be stressful, but it takes patience. As long as I can find a peaceful end, the process doesn't matter.

By the time it was late at night, and everyone was cleaning up and heading up to bed, I sat at the edge of my bed and looked up towards the curtains shielding my window. What I did was something I never do. It was the most I could do for the love of family. I prayed.

Ellis Island Reflection

1. The people who arrived to Ellis Island felt afraid passing through due to the worry if they didn't answer the questions properly and had to be deported back, if they looked sick(sea sickness) or had a noticeable issue not allowing them through, if in any way at all they weren't allowed through. As well as, they could be afraid if they lost, or someone stole their belongings and were separated from their family. The people also felt impatient. Imagine having to wait for hours crammed together with a bunch of people, noise so loud from people yelling and babies crying you could barely hear. It would be stressful and make you impatient. Lastly, the people could be hopeful. They were hopeful and glad that they had the chance to come to Ellis Island to possibly be given the chance to become a U.S citizen.

2. I believe the screening process in the immigration hall was messy from the overpacked people crowding around, waiting in line, and impatient people trying to push through. As well as, I could imagine their being so much noise that could be barely tolerable from babies crying, people yelling around, and thousands of voices surrounding you. I also believe the screening process was unsanitary from using the same tools over and over again for checkups that have touched people with diseases, spreading what they are trying to avoid.

3. When I arrived to the classroom to learn about my fate, I was nervous that I would be put in quarantine or be deported and was not allowed to go to America. I was worried that I would say the wrong answer when Mr. Elms asked us the questions. There is a lot of suspicion of what you might be asked.

The Energy Transfer company is taking up most of the land tribes live on to build big pipes to transfer energy. But, the tribes want their land back so they are using violent weapons and protesting against the security and company.

John Barrymore stole a totem pole from the Tlingit tribe and Jonathan Rowan from Alaska talks about how it upsets him that the John stole a prized possession from his tribe.

Natives in Hawaii have been there for thousands of years and they want to be recognised as a tribe for potential benefits, but they government wont allow it.

Europeans took Native children from their tribes to give them health, an education at a boarding school, but Jim Thorpe said it was wrong to take kids away from their home and giving the idea that they are in bad conditions and won't be able to live there.

New York reporter says how people say the disney movie Pocahontas is too sexual because it was about Pocahontas's romance and changed her body and age when Pocahontas was originally 10-11 years old. But, the reporter says that without the movie Pocahontas wouldn't have been known and it is not about the visual image it is about learning the story, and it is portraying freedom. But the other reporter from New Jersey says how it is too stereotyped and sexual from short clothes to ideal image. The hollywood Native Americans say they are being harassed and giving a stereotype of what they do.
