Gossip Project

  1. Hi, my name is Josh! I was especially astounded at your ability of application to real life situations that could occur during the middle school years. I think that you may have improved by reducing the background noise or the 'white noise", as it became fairly distracting at times. I loved the acting portion of the presentation though! The strategy that I would use most often would be confronting someone, due to a mishap between us. I think that this is effective as you demonstrated it in a calm and peaceful way that resolved the argument seamlessly. The strategy I would use the least is changing the subject to resolve gossip, as I believe this contradicts your point of confrontation, and changing the subject won't erase the air of tension between you and you friend.

  2. My name is Ameya. I was especially impressed with the story line - I liked how you stuck to one example of a story and showed different ways on what to do and what not to do. You might have improved the recording by doing it in a quieter place because there was a lot of background noise which was a distraction. The strategy/tool I would most likely use is not gossiping any personal things that a person has because it could hurt them and the friendship you have with them. The strategy/tool I would least likely use is gossiping personal things that are private to others.

  3. Hi! My name is Paige. I was especially impressed with the visual presentations, because it really helped the reader see how to deal with what you said in real life situations. You could have improved by speaking louder, because I had trouble hearing what you were saying, maybe next time you can film in the quiet side on the library, or raise your voice a little more:). The strategy/tool I would most likely use is telling gossipers to stop, and put an end to it before it got to far, because I hate gossiping and putting a stop to it would help many, including me. The strategy/tool I would least likely use is changing the subject, because I feel that gossip should be dealt with and stopped, instead of just changing off of it to keep it going elsewhere.

I was especially impressed with how you applied you points into real-life scenarios. I felt like I could closely relate it to the conflicts that often happen in my life.
You could have improved….by making the think before you speak video more clear.... the sound in it was hard to listen to.
The strategy/tool I would most likely use is to confront your friend, instead of immediately talking behind their back. It seemed like the most logical example, because it shows how being more mature can be useful.
The strategy/tool I would least likely use is to change the subject, because sometimes the subject is really serious and should be given a lot of attention.
