1. How alike or different are the data values from each other?
Each of the data values are alike because the numbers are all in the same range between 7-8

2. Which data values occur more frequently or less frequently?
The values between 6.5 to 10 occur more frequently, whereas the values 4-6 and 10-13 don't occur as frequently.

3. How spread out or close together are the data values in relation to each other?
All the data values our pretty close together within the same range on the line plot.

The data values are pretty close together in relation to the measure of center

5.What do you infer about the shoe sizes of 7th graders?
All of the 7th grade have different shoe sizes, but the most common are between a sizes 7-10.

Globalization Unit Reflection

1. What aspect of globalization your cartoon is criticising? (Highlight one)

2. Which visual techniques or literary devices (from the list above) did you use in your cartoon? Explain why you used it and why you think it is effective.
1. We use captioning and labels to help the reader know what the setting is and what is happening to the rainforest to create palm oil to send to other countries. We think that it is effective because this way the readers won’t be confused with what is happening in the four different pictures.
2. By using exaggeration, we are magnifying the problem of destroying the animals who live in the forest and their home. Another problem is that from the burning of the trees we are making our air quality really bad and that can be bad for human’s health. This is effective because we can magnify the problem that is being caused by globalization. Palm oil has to be sent to other countries because it is made in every packaged food, we are destroying the homes of animals who live in the forest and we are making the air quality really unhealthy for the humans.

3. Explain the message regarding globalization.

People are burning down animals habitats and forests to create into palm tree plantations so they can burn down the palm trees to get oil. When the people burn down the palm trees, they take the trees into a factory to produce basically all lotions, foods, body care products, etc. to ship out and get money. So when they burn down the trees they are affecting people's health from the haze, they take away animals homes just to produce world wide known products for money.

Globalization has transformed our world. Cultural/social globalization effects us because we get to experience new things, foods, styles of clothing, etc. But, without globalization most of the things we eat, wear, and use on a daily basis we wouldn't have, since cotton comes from around the world to make clothes, spices and meats aren't created in Singapore, etc. Secondly, technological/environmental globalization has affected our world because people are cutting and burning down our forests to build factories, international hotels, plantations,etc. to create produce to spread worldwide. Lastly, political/economic globalization has affected our world because now our countries have so many nationalities, cultures, and languages that brings us together to develop our nations and learn to create new things off of each other.

Band: March Concert Reflection

1. What are you most proud of from your performance at the concert?
This concert performance I felt proud of being able to hold the high notes because in some pieces there are many high notes in a row that can be hard to reach after a while, and I was able to hold them.
2. What do you need to work on to improve for the next performance?
Next performance one thing I need to work on is looking up more during the pieces to see if I was at the right tempo, because during the concert at times I went a bit too fast. So, I should look up more to check if I am at the right tempo. 3. What does our band, as a whole, need to work on to improve for the next concert?
As our whole band, next concert we need to work on listening to each other, because at times we were just stuck in our music and lost each other at different tempos and different parts of the piece. 4. What did you learn from performing in the concert?
What I learnt from performing this concert is to not stop when you make a mistake, just look at where you group is at and follow the conductor until you know when to start playing again. 5. What did you learn by watching others perform?
What I learnt by watching the other groups perform is how moving yourself to the music and as a group can make you play better in unison and it makes the music flow better.
